Dr. Elizabeth Nielson is a psychologist, therapist, and psychedelics researcher. Her work focuses on developing psychedelic medicines as treatments for PTSD, substance use problems, and mood disorders.

In 2019, Nielson and Dr. Ingmar Gorman founded Fluence: an educational platform that provides professional certification and training in psychedelic therapy and psychedelic integration.

Nielson is also a site co-principal investigator and therapist for an FDA-approved Phase III clinical trial of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for PTSD. She has previously served as a therapist on FDA-approved clinical trials of psilocybin-assisted treatment for alcohol use disorder and treatment-resistant depression, as well as earlier phase II and III trials of MDMA-assisted psychotherapy.
